Nourish Lauderhill: Post COVID-19 GlowUP Retreat Empowers Women to Combat Growing Mental Health Challenges

Lauderhill, FL – Lauderhill Healthy You is proud to present the Nourish Lauderhill Retreat, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, 9:30 AM at Veterans Park, 7600 NW 50th St, Lauderhill, FL.

In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Health Organization has reported a growing rate of symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. The health, social, and economic impacts of loss and isolation have increased mental health challenges, especially in communities disproportionately affected by growing health disparities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To combat the alarming statistics due to COVID-19, Lauderhill Healthy You will host “Nourish Lauderhill’. This day of amazing activities will highlight new techniques to reduce stress, increase positive health through food and drink, and health practices that improve energy, brain power, and productivity post COVID-19. Additionally, it will provide COVID-19 health materials, teach back methodology, surveys, vaccinations, and testing.

This event was curated to introduce and remind the community of the beauty in caring for one’s mind, body, and spirit in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nourish Lauderhill aims to unite women across the city of Lauderhill in creating a healthier and happier community. Attendees will participate in interactive activities, share their experiences, and learn practical tips to pursue their best lives after COVID-19.
